From the lists of Risk Assessments you ticked in Step 2, print out a copy of each of the relevant Risk Assessments.
If you identify a RISK not included, you can carry out a Risk Assessment yourself -
EITHER Print out the appropriate Assessment Report and tick or modify to suit.
OR Open up MHS-forms if the appropriate form is available, and fill in in on-line!!
In the future more and more example Assessments will be included in the Program - these however, must be looked on as examples and looked at and compared to your own circumstances.
PPE ASSESSMENTS
You are required to confirm that the PPE handed out by you is up to the specification detailed, and that the PPE is properly maintained and stored.
COSHH ASSESSMENTS
It is required of the manufacturer to give you details of the 'substance hazardous to health' . In order to do a COSHH Assessment it is usually necessary to have the H&S Data Sheet.
NOISE ASSESSMENTS
Detailed Noise Assessments are possible but usually are unnecessary - if an item of equipment is noisy and the manufacturer has not been able to provide noise control by baffling etc then Ear Defenders or Plugs are necessary. These ear Defenders must protect across the whole spectrum of noise pitches.
MANUAL HANDLING ASSESSMENTS
The way manual handling is carried out is so dependent on the circumstances that it is better for every workplace to carry out their own.
