Welcome to the MHS-golf 2008 Health & Safety Program

Legislation in U.K. now requires every Golf Club to take Health & Safety very seriously. The MHS-golf 2008 program is designed not to 'do your health & safety', but to give you a sure foundation for the work you must do for your club. Print out the pages which concern you - Safety Policy, Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments and the rest. Accept them if you feel they fit your club or change them by hand to suit. Sign and date them. These are your work. We will update the program regularly as legislation, equipment or materials change. We will inform you of the changes by email. Please ensure we have your Email address.

This is a 'living document' which is not the same as it was last year and will certainly not be the same next year.

The package is offered as a service, a training and an educational resource to allow you to deal with your health & safety problems at your club. In this regard please look on us as your advisors, your mentors, and a source of help.

We have been asked by the Enforcing Authority, to make it clear to you that the Health & Safety at your workplace is your responsibility and the competent person in your workplace is you or another delegated manager.
